Janusz Recław
Janusz Recław (born 1974) – archeologist, traveller, photographer. Since 1995, a participant of the archeological research in: Albania (Polish ? Albanian archaeological research in the capital of Illyria – Scodra), Bulgaria (First Italic legion at Novae), Montenegro (Rhizon ? the capital of Queen Teuta), Russia (Tanais – Greek and Roman trade settlement on the river of Don).
Since 1996, the Deputy Director and member of the Scientific Research Centre of the Antiquity of Southeastern Europe at the Warsaw University, co-author of many specialized publications on archeology. Participant of the conferences: Limes Congress – International Congress of Roman Frontier Studies, RoMEC – Roman Military Equipment Conference, International Congress of Antique Bronzes. Participant of the Frontiers of the Roman Empire as part of the Culture 2000 – a project designed to protect the heritage of the borders of the Roman Empire. Author of numerous scientific articles dedicated to limes archeology.
Author of the photographs included in many archaeological publications, among others, the album “Rhizon. Ancient pearl of Montenegro” issued by the University of Warsaw and the Polish Embassy in Podgorica. His photographs were presented in Poland, in Opole and Warsaw (Photo Corridor – Institute of Archaeology, University of Warsaw), and in Montenegro – at the Gallery of Modern Art in Podgorica. He has another exhibitions scheduled for 2014: in Bijelo Polje and Budva (Montenegro) and Cracow (Poland).
