Viktor Soos was born in 1996. In 2014/2015, he was a student at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main in the piano class of Prof. Oliver Kern. 

From 2015 to 2021, Viktor Soos studied at the University for Music in Lübeck in the piano class of Prof. Konrad Elser. He has been under the tutelage of Prof. Bernd Goetzke at the University of Music, Theatre and Media Hannover since 2021.

As a frequent performer, Viktor has given concerts in Chile, Finland, Russia, France, Italy, and the Czech Republic. He has also had the privilege of participating in internationally renowned festivals such as the Ruhr Piano Festival, the Kissinger Sommer, and the Donaueschinger Musiktage. He has recorded extensively in collaboration with Deutschlandradio, NDR, BR, MDR, WDR, and SWR.

Viktor has played with several orchestras, including the Lübeck Philharmonic, Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, Stuttgarter Kammerorchester, Bremen Symphony, Brandenburg Symphony, and Staatskapelle Halle.

In 2011, Viktor won the 1st Music Promotion Prize from the Foundation of the Kreissparkasse Waiblingen. In 2014, he received the WDR 3 Classic Prize from the City of Münster for the “Best Interpretation of a Work of Viennese Classicism.” In 2015, he also won the 1st prize at the international Rotary Piano Competition in Essen.

Eight years ago, he won 2nd prize at the Tonali Competition in Hamburg and the following year received the Yamaha Scholarship at the YMFE Competition in Rostock. As a finalist at the German Music Competition 2017 (Deutscher Musik Wettbewerb), Viktor Soos was awarded a scholarship.

He is a prizewinner at the Kissinger Piano Olymp and won the first prize at the 54th Possehl Music Prize in 2017. In 2021, Viktor Soos was a contestant in the Semi-Final of the International Beethoven Piano Competition in Vienna and, in the same year, was a prizewinner at the renowned International Robert-Schumann-Competition in Zwickau.

He won the 2nd prize at the European Piano Competition 2024 in Bremen. Viktor Soos is a recipient of scholarships from various foundations, such as “Live Music Now,” Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben, and Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes.
